Looking for a Travel Agent Trainer (min 1 year Travel Agency experience)
The Travel Agent Next Door is a Host Travel Agency dedicated to supporting and providing business-building tools to help Travel Agents succeed in their business. The Travel Agent Next Door is now hiring a Travel Agent Trainer for its head office in downtown Toronto, located by Union Station. This position requires an energetic individual who possesses exceptional writing skills, customer service skills, and travel agency operations knowledge along with an ability to multitask.
This person will perform training via zoom on all products offered by The Travel Agent Next Door including ClientLinq and business building. They will assist in coordinating supplier webinars and be responsible for the training newsletter. They will also help facilitate / train on The Travel Agent Next Door programs as required.
Determining the needs of our travel agents in order to help grow their business through training
Creating and reviewing training materials including step-by-step instructions, videos, etc.
Working / coordinating with our preferred and approved suppliers to ensure understanding of their products
Conducting training sessions via zoom.
Providing excellent customer service and support to our agents
Prioritize, organize and follow through on training issues until the agents have a complete understanding of the material being covered.
Reporting on training initiatives
Writing our travel agent’s newsletter that goes out to the agents
Internal updating of our Extranet (called The HUB)
Researching developments in training
Qualifications: * Must have excellent presentation skills.
Superior written and oral communication skills (grammar / spelling is very important)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with agents, suppliers, and head office staff
Experience producing training materials
Ability to think “Outside the box” when the situation calls for it.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel (conference, regional meetings, etc.)
Team player and has a great attitude!
Travel & Tourism Diploma or other travel-related experience
Excellent knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Office.
