A landmark hotel in York is expected to open for the first time in close to six years.
The Yorktowne Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton at 48 E. Market St. is operated by GF Hotels & Resorts, and plans to open in the fall.
The hotel has started accepting reservations for hotel stays taking place from Jan. 1 and after. The pre-sale date will be moved forward in phases as the project nears completion. Hilton’s policy is to place the reservations off for some time initially in case of any delays associated with a new hotel opening.
“We have reached a huge project milestone with this announcement,” Michael Blum of GF Hotels & Resorts, said in a news release. “The people of York have awaited this moment for a number of years and we are happy to say we are finally at this point.”
