A video of Hollywood star Jason Momoa went viral this week after the actor was spotted handing out drinking water to passengers on a Hawaiian Airlines flight.

The actor traveled to the airport with daughter Lola Iolani, 14, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 13, before springing the surprise on passengers.

Momoa said he was inspired to establish his own water company onboard a Hawaiian Airlines flight and later founded Mananulu in 2019. The company uses sustainable aluminum packaging and triple-filtered purified drinking water with added electrolytes and a neutral PH of approximately 7.

Momoa said,

“It’s a dream come true … why can’t we have aluminum? There’s sparkling water, there’s sparkling beer, there’s soda, soft drinks. Why do I have to have this little single tiny water? So this is my first time being able to do this. So I’m going to make the announcement on Hawaiian Airlines … I’m excited I’m going home. “

10,000 miles for every passenger

As it turned out, the Aquaman star was handing out more than just water. On a video posted to Instagram, the Hawaiian native revealed that every passenger onboard the flight was also gifted 10,000 miles.

Mananalu and Hawaiian Airlines

Mananalu and Hawaiian Airlines announced their partnership in April which would see every Premium Cabin passenger on Hawaiian’s US East Coast and international flights receive a personal 16-ounce Mananalu water bottle.

The airline revealed it would save around 142,000 plastic bottles across its operations per year owing to its new partnership.

Avi Mannis, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Hawaiian Airlines, said,

“We have remained steadfast in our commitment to source more sustainable products for our onboard service, and our Mananalu partnership helps us continue to phase-out single-use plastics and protect our oceans and environment.”
