IHG has now launched a bonus miles offer for Emirates Skywards members. The same promotion is or has been available with several other airlines.
Skywards members earn 1,000 bonus miles for each stay minimum of two nights through December 31, 2022, if booked August 1 – 31.

The terms state that this offer is available at all IHG-affiliated hotels, and there is a maximum of 15,000 bonus miles that you can earn.
You must change IHG One Rewards earning preference from points to miles and have Emirates Skywards selected as the preferred conversion partner.
There are no remarks on the terms and conditions that you should book a specific rate to earn the bonus miles, but the booking bar on this page indicates so. No “Emirates Bonus Miles” eligible hotels are available through this search.

If you need to book a specific bonus miles rate to be eligible for the 1,000 extra miles, this offer makes no sense.
In general, it doesn’t make sense to earn miles for hotel stays unless bonus miles are offered, and your qualifying hotel spend is low (you would earn a few points).
Here are the terms and conditions of this promotion:
• Emirates Skywards members need to be registered as an IHG One Rewards member, and select Skywards Miles as their earning preference located in their IHG One Rewards My Account, prior to check-in.
• 1,000 bonus Skywards Miles will be awarded on all Qualifying Stays after enrolling, if not already a member, and staying through December 31st, 2022 (“Campaign Period”). Two (2) Rewards Miles / $ 1 USD or local currency equivalent paid on eligible charges at Regent® Hotels and Resorts, InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants, Hualuxe ™ Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, EVEN ™ Hotels, voco ™, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Holiday Inn Club Vacations®, and avid ™ Hotels. One (1) Rewards Mile / $ 1 USD at Candlewood Suites®, Staybridge Suites® and The Venetian | The Palazzo (Las Vegas | Macau). A Qualifying Stay is defined as two consecutive nights at the same hotel, regardless of frequency of check-in / out. A stay constitutes a Qualifying Stay when paying Qualifying Rates, which include most business and leisure rates at Regent® Hotels and Resorts, InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, EVEN ™, voco ™ , Staybridge Suites®, Candlewood Suites® or HUALUXE ™ hotels worldwide and The Venetian | The Palazzo Las Vegas.
• 1,000 bonus Skywards Miles are not issued for stays booked through an Online Travel Agency or for Non-Qualifying Room Rates and Non-Qualifying Stays. Non-Qualifying Room Rates and Non-Qualifying Stays are subject to standard IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions and include the following: net wholesale individual and group rate, certain package rates, employee discount rate, friends and family rate, crew rate, special discounted contract rates, seasonal worker / crew rate, 50% travel club discount rate, travel industry discount rate, distressed passenger rate, IHG One Rewards Reward Nights / Airline Hotel Reward rate, most rates booked through most third party web sites, complimentary hotel stays and any other rates not defined as a Qualifying Room Rate. Only one room per member per stay will be awarded the applicable Miles.
• No retroactive base Miles or bonus Miles will be awarded for nights stayed prior to IHG One Rewards enrollment or prior to the promotion period.
• Maximum bonus award for an eligible member is 15,000 bonus Miles during this promotional campaign.
• Any misuse of this campaign, in any manner, will be considered fraudulent activity subject to IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions.
• IHG® reserves the right to remove a member’s bonus points / Miles or cancel a member’s account if fraudulent use of the campaign is detected.
• To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG One Rewards reserves the right to cancel, suspend, cancel and / or modify the campaign at any time with or without notice.
• To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG® reserves the right of final interpretation of this campaign Terms and Conditions.
• Members must make any promotional inquiries by 60 days from the end of the campaign, after which members will no longer be able to inquire about discrepancies in Miles received.
