Sedona’s luxury ‘landscape hotel’ Ambiente is all about views

A stay in just about any Sedona hotel will give you a view of the towering red rock buttes that dominate the skyline.

But a soon-to-open “landscape hotel” is being designed to make you feel like you’re right up front in the natural world.

The Ambiente luxury resort describes itself as a hotel designed to blend in with its surroundings.

Ambiente will consist of 40 separate cube-shaped rooms, or atriums, made from glass and steel. Each one features a bedroom with a king bed, a bathroom with an oversize tub and walk-in shower and a kitchen with complimentary refreshments.

The rooms also have wine dispensers featuring a selection of Arizona wines. Guests will be charged by the glass or bottle.

The atriums at Ambiente resort in Sedona are designed to blend in with the surrounding natural landscape.

The 180-degree, floor-to-ceiling windows integrate Sedona’s red rocks, the surrounding Coconino National Forest and the night sky into the guest experience.

“I like to call it ‘Sedona on IMAX’ right in your very own private, luxurious atrium,” said Jennifer May, owner of Two Sister Bosses, the developer and operator of Ambiente.
