American Express and Marriott Bonvoy added new benefits to their co-branded business credit card Thursday but kept the card’s annual fee at $ 125. The Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card will now provide a discount on eligible hotel reservations, earn points at restaurants worldwide and grant cardholders a higher complimentary Marriott Bonvoy status.

What Are the Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card’s New Features?

In addition to existing benefits, cardholders will now receive a 7% discount when they make direct bookings of standard rooms at standard rates in Marriott Bonvoy hotels.

They’ll also receive complimentary Gold Elite status in the Marriott Bonvoy program, which comes with benefits including late checkout and room upgrades when available. Previously, cardholders received complimentary Silver Elite status.

The card also expanded its points earning on restaurant spending. You can now earn four Marriott Bonvoy points per dollar at restaurants worldwide, not just at restaurants in the US

Plus, through Aug. 31, eligible new cardholders can earn a welcome offer of 125,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for spending $ 5,000 in their first three months with the card.

Cardholders will continue to earn six points per dollar spent on eligible purchases at Marriott Bonvoy hotels; four points at US gas stations, wireless telephone services and shipping; and two points on other purchases.
