Concert celebrates commercial flights coming to San Bernardino airport – San Bernardino Sun

Less than two weeks before the first scheduled commercial flight departs San Bernardino International Airport, community members celebrated the milestone Saturday, July 23, at a Ready for Takeoff concert.

SUR, a Northern California artist / producer, and SHAED, a multi-platinum American indie-pop trio, performed on the airport’s Boeing 737 plane stage.

Pink’s Hot Dogs, Monty’s Good Burger and JuneShine were among those selling refreshments.

Scheduled passenger service out of San Bernardino International begins Aug. 4, with $ 49 flights to San Francisco.

Travelers also can book flights to Provo, Utah.

Breeze Airways announced the partnership earlier this year, and airport officials have been busy completing myriad infrastructure, technological and aesthetic upgrades ahead of next month’s launch.
