Agriculture students awarded $10,000 in scholarships at AgTexas awards

AgTexas Farm Credit Services awarded senior area with $10,000 in scholarships at its seventh annual AgTexas AgYouth Scholarship awards program, held at Embassy Suites in downtown Amarillo on Monday evening.

During the awards ceremony, AgTexas honored 10 high school graduates for excelling in their 4-H and FFA chapters. Each of the 10 graduates received a $1,000 scholarship to benefit their college education.

“They are the future of agriculture, whether they are farming or ranching or whether they are working for Farm Credit or AgTexas, or are just serving in the ag industry in general, they’re the future … and helping them understand who we are and what we do is extremely important as they grow and become a part of the agriculture industry,” said Kristy Tucker, Vice President, Marketing Manager for AgTexas Farm Credit.
