Vice President Kamala Harris just tested positive for COVID-19, despite being what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would consider fully vaccinated, despite receiving two booster shots — the latest on April 1 — and despite wearing a face mask pretty much she everywhere went .
So, not to be rude or anything, but what’s the point of getting the shot?
If Harris were an outlier — meaning, one of a very small, very tiny, very teeny segment of the population to be fully vaccinated, fully boosted and fully face-masked yet, nonetheless, fully positive for COVID-19 — then maybe that question wouldn’t be so pertinent. But she’s not.
Harris is just one in a long line of fully vaccinated people who then come up hot on the COVID tests.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tested positive. While House spokesperson Jen Psaki tested positive. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack tested positive. Sen. Susan Collins, Rep. Pete DeFazio, Attorney General Merrick Garland, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, Harris’ Communications Director Jamal Simmons, Rep. Adam B. Schiff, Rep. Joaquin Castro — all tested positive for COVID-19 in recent weeks. The common denominator?
They were all vaccinated.
They were all vaccinated; many were boosted.
They were all supposedly protected against COVID-19. Or were they?
The CDC used to define vaccine as a “product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce an immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease.” Immunity, according to the CDC, was “protection from an infectious disease” — meaning, “if you are immune to a disease, you can be exposed to it without becoming infected.”
Sounds about right.
The CDC also used to define a vaccination as “the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.”
Then came the coronavirus. Then came the coronavirus shots. Then came all the claims of the shots’ efficacy — Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna initially touted a 95% efficacy rate; Johnson & Johnson, 67%.
Then came the truths about the touted efficacy. In short: they wane. They wane so much that a booster, no, wait, two boosters, no wait again, three boosters are needed — oh wait, Dr. Anthony Fauci said in February that boosters would be needed every five years — oh, sorry, wait a minute, make that every year. Maybe. We’ll see how it goes. Ask the makers of the shots; they’ll know.
Amid all the confusion and changing data and revelations of truths versus promises, the CDC decided to help out a bit and issue this, umm, shall we say, clarification? That’s what the CDC called it, anyway. It was a redefining of the words “vaccine” and “vaccination” so as to “clarify” that the COVID-19 shots weren’t ever meant to prevent the contracting and spread of the virus.
Now, vaccine is defined by the CDC as “a preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases,” and vaccination as “the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce protection from a specific disease.”
Immunity, be gone.
And when the CDC was called on this subtle shift in lingo, the CDC helpfully explained, oh nothing to see here, folks, go home — vaccines were never meant to produce immunity. They were only meant to protect against a disease.
That’s gaslighting at its finest.
And of course, all along, the CDC maintained its position, as put forth in glaring website headlines, “COVID-19 Vaccines Work.”
It’s an easy claim to make when the definition of “work” is so similarly easy to change.
Nowadays, the typical bureauspeak line is that these COVID-19 shots protect against serious illness and hospitalization — so that even when people like the fully vaccinated and boosted vice president of the United States test positive for the virus, the powers-who-be behind the “Vaccinate, Or Else” movement of the sheep-like left can still claim a win. After all, they’ll crow, if Harris hadn’t been fully vaccinated and boosted, she’d probably have died!
There’s no way to prove that, of course.
But here we enter Democrats’ field of excellence: telling lies that are impossible to either prove or disprove. Just as there’s no way to prove Harris was saved from death by her multitude of coronavirus shots, there’s no real way to disprove it, either — so voila, the vaccines work. It’s science.
It’s sound, scientific science.
And when that science fails, don’t worry — there’s always another booster.
The Democrats, the left, the medical bureaucrats, their partners in Big Pharma and politics — in short, the globalists and collectivists — will never, never, admit the COVID-19 shots are failures. They’ll just keep gaslighting, changing definitions, attacking those who question their claims and pushing more and more medical treatments for a virus that has a 99% recovery rate anyway, until ultimately, the concept of natural immunity will become radicalized and those who resist government pushed vaccines described as unAmerican dangers to the public.
That’s already happened.
“The best defense against [coronavirus] variants is to get vaccinated. My fellow Americans, it’s the most patriotic thing you can do,” President Biden said on Independence Day 2021.
A couple days later, he said this: “[M]illions of Americans are still unvaccinated and unprotected. And because of that, their communities are at risk, their friends are at risk, the people that they care about are at risk.”
Get the shot, save lives.
Don’t get the shot, and all the subsequent shots, and people die. Or not. But it could happen. Just don’t look too closely at truths, facts and data, and it’s clear: It really could, almost, potentially perhaps, close-your-eyes and cross-your-fingers, maybe and truly could happen.
The more these vaccines fail, the more Americans are told they aren’t failing, and the more those who question their effectiveness and safety and the science behind their development are attacked and called out as a danger to society.
But it’s high time to admit: These shots are not effective. And that’s effective, as in Dictionary.com’s “producing the intended or expected result.” Truly, quite the opposite.
