Midweek at Eastern Kentucky Up Next for Hilltoppers

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Softball is heading to Eastern Kentucky this Wednesday for a midweek game against the Colonels. The Hilltoppers lead the all-time series 14-12. Due to inclement weather throughout the season, this will be just second midweek of the season for the Hilltoppers.

WKU owns an overall record of 27-8 on the campaign, while EKU is 7-28 this season. Last weekend, the Hilltoppers traveled to Birmingham, Ala. for a three-game set with UAB. WKU took 2-of-3 to move to 11-4 in conference play in sole possession of first in the East Division. EKU dropped all three games of a weekend series at Jacksonville State.

Both the Hilltoppers and Colonels have squared off with Ole Miss and Ohio this season. They both dropped two games against the Rebels. WKU beat Ohio twice winning 7-1 and 5-4 while EKU played Ohio once, falling 7-2.

WKU holds the all-time series edge 14-12 but EKU took the meeting last season in a 1-0 decision in Bowling Green. The Hilltoppers are 6-4 all-time in Richmond and have won 2 of their last 3 outings at EKU.

Wednesday’s tilt between the Hilltoppers and Colonels will be streamed on ESPN+. Livestats will also be available.
