Thomas Muller blasted by animal rights group after Bayern star’s horse hurt performing ‘unnatural sex acts for profit’

BAYERN MUNICH legend Thomas Muller has been blasted by an animal rights group… after his prize stallion was injured ‘rehearsing’ for the breeding season.

It comes as West Ham’s Kurt Zouma has been roundly criticized ever since SunSport revealed videos of him kicking and slapping his pet cat.

Now Germany striker Muller has been slammed by Peta after revealing the bizarre injury suffered by his horse D’Avie, referred to as ‘Dave’.

The World Cup winner and his wife Lisa, a champion dressage rider, run the Gut Wettlkam stud farm in their home country.

They charge 200 euros per dose of frozen horse semen.

Muller reported: “Sadly we have bad news. Our favorite D’Avie will not be available in the next months.

“Unfortunately he slipped during a test attempt to prepare for the breeding season, and fell on his side.

“He suffered an injury in the hoof area, and will need to rest completely for the next few months.

“He’s a tough lad, and it could have been worse.”

But Peta spokesperson Jana Hoger fumed: “It is awful that self-styled horse lovers force the animals in their care into unnatural sex acts in order to make the maximum profit from them.

“The injuries that D’Avie suffered under Lisa and Thomas Muller’s supervision were avoidable and unnecessary.”

D’Avie, or Dave, has been ridden twice by Lisa at international horse riding Grand Prix’s.

He was sold to the Mullers in August 2020.

‘DIRECTOR OF CARROTS’

Dave is joined at Muller HQ by two other stallions – Four Roses and Bowmore, whose sperm is also sold by the couple.

Muller is the self-titled ‘director of carrots’ at the stables.

Muller regularly attends dressage events his other half competes in and loves spending time with Dave.

“I come here to watch if everything’s fine,” he once replied when asked why he loves horses.

“And for the carrots. I’m the managing director of carrots! I watch the dogs. Sometimes I help a little bit but it’s her (my wife’s) business.

“I enjoy it a lot. They make me feel comfortable, the attitude and what they look like and (the way they) live their lives.

“It’s fun. It’s easy to relax around horses.”
