Hilltopper Baseball and Softball to Stream 53 Games on Facebook

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Baseball and Softball have announced their home stream schedules for the 2022 season, which includes 28 games at Nick Denes Field and all 25 contests at the WKU Softball Complex. The full slate of home games available to stream on Facebook Watch can be found HERE or on the main website’s schedule links for BASEBALL and SOFTBALL.

Hilltopper fans will be able to watch almost every home baseball and softball game this season for free on Facebook Live. New this year, Hilltopper Sports Properties (HSP) has added the ability for a secondary stream called “Behind The Mic”, allowing for simultaneous baseball and softball games to be streamed.

While the WKU PBS Facebook Live stream on the Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network (HSSN) will remain the primary stream, the secondary stream on the Hilltopper Sports Properties Facebook page will also feature commentary.

Familiar faces will bring fans all of the action for softball on HSSN and Behind the Mic throughout the season. The Voice of the Hilltoppers, Randy Leewill continue to call baseball games chosen for Facebook streaming.

Hilltopper Baseball and Softball share the same home-opening weekend on The Hill from Feb. 18-20. At Nick Denes Field, the Hilltoppers’ series opener and finale against Western Illinois will be available on the Behind The Mic secondary stream. Over at the WKU Softball Complex, Friday’s doubleheader against Central Michigan and Bellarmine along with Sunday’s game featuring the Hilltoppers will all be on the primary HSSN stream while Saturday’s action will be available on the secondary account.

For baseball, 28-of-32 home contests will be streamed between the two Facebook Live feeds, including 12-of-15 Conference USA games. The Hilltoppers will have an even split between the two streaming options, with 14 games set to air on the HSSN primary feed and 14 contests available on Behind The Mic. As in years past, there will also be a radio broadcast for every game throughout the season.

On the softball side, all 25 home games will be available to watch between the two Facebook Live feeds. The Hilltoppers will have 17 games on the HSSN primary stream, which includes 6-of-10 tournament games, three complete Conference USA series and two midweek outings. The remaining eight contests will stream on the secondary HSP account.

The current streaming schedules will be subject to change based on game alterations or other logistics.

With both seasons less than two weeks away, WKU Baseball and Softball season tickets are available online at WKUTickets.com or by calling the WKU Ticket Office at 1-800-5-BIGRED.
